It has been a few weeks since we posted so there a few topics to cover.
#1: THANK YOU!
A big thank you for the support from our soon to be DOWN riders and our returning customers. The presale was very successful and like we said before “we are nothing without your support” and that resonates with us daily as we continue this journey with DOWN. We are not this massive ski conglomerate with huge marketing budgets or huge teams so your early support was critical for us. We are just a small company trying to create uniquely designed, high quality, handmade skis at a price skiers can afford. All that being said thank you again for the support and we look forward to seeing you on a pair of DOWNs this winter. As always, contact us anytime with questions or comments. ([email protected]) We are here to help.
#2 Production Update: (On target for Dec 14th delivery)
Materials are being prepared, cores being milled, Ptex being cut, and screens being printed. Over the past few weeks (actually years) we have been working closely with our factory to ensure that we are on target and getting your skis to you on time. At this point we are ahead of schedule and will keep you in the loop via FB (“Like” if you have not already) and of course here at www.downskis.com.
#3: Movie Season
This past weekend in IBK, AT IF3 went down and our good friend and DOWN rider Tobi Huber was in attendance for his crews new flick.Check it out once it drops in November to a see a little more of Tobi shredding in Canada. Tobi has been a big support of DOWN and you will see much more of him on FB and on this site in the coming months as the snow starts to fly.
Yes we are already thinking about 13/14 skis. We are working on 2 new skis for 13/14 so keep you eyes out in the coming weeks for more details.
#5: Demo Days
So we are working on locking 5 “formal” demo days this year. Of course we are always around skiing so look for the DOWN Ski Mobile at your local ski spot too. We are also looking to do 3 “DOWN WITH YOU DAYS” where we will pay for the first 10 skiers lift tickets at one of our local “hills” here in CH. Spots TBD but more to come as the snow flies in the next few months.
